MotoCare is operated by Dimitrios Katsolis, who is the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use the Service.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, login credentials.
- Service data: bikes, service history, modifications, gear, expenses, photos you upload.
- Support messages and correspondence.
- Usage & telemetry: device type, browser, IP address, log events, error reports.
- Push notification tokens (if you opt in).
- Location data (only when you use the "find nearby shops" feature, with your permission).
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle and are never stored on our systems.
3. Why we use it & legal basis
- Provide the Service (contract performance): create accounts, store your garage data, send reminders.
- Security & fraud prevention (legitimate interests): detect abuse, protect users.
- Product improvement (legitimate interests): aggregated analytics, error monitoring.
- Customer support (contract performance): respond to your inquiries.
- Marketing communications (consent): only where you have opted in.
- Legal compliance (legal obligation): tax records, lawful requests.
4. Who we share data with
- Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record for the sale of subscriptions, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and subscription management.
- Hosting & infrastructure providers — to operate the Service (database, file storage, authentication, push delivery).
- Analytics & error monitoring providers — to improve reliability.
- Google Play — for purchases made through the Android app.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities when required by law.
5. International transfers
Some recipients are located outside the UK/EEA. Where applicable we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard your data.
6. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, personal data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise these rights from your account settings or by contacting us. EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We will respond within one month.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls and audit logs.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage required to keep you logged in and to remember preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies as described in their privacy policy.
